On Friday, September 11, 2009, Membership Chair, Jim Bradley inducted Dr. Kare Hyland, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum at CCSD #21 as a member of the Rotary Club of Wheeling. Rich Rosen, her sponsor, presented her with her Rotary Membership pin.
Kate is a resident of Chicago and commutes to Wheeling by train. Her husband Tim is a former Superintendent and consultant. She has 3 daughters and several "perfect grandchildren".
She is a Midwestern girl having lived in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. She received her Bachelors Degree in English at the University of Illinois and her Masters and Doctorate at Indiana University.
Kate's father is a Rotarian and she was an Interact counselor, while working in Champaign. Kate is a recreational runner.
